Coach Carl Risch was certainly happy with his team’s performance in the Tuesday meet at New Haven, especially considering it was the final tuneup before Friday’s conference meet.
Three different athletes won multiple events for the Braves, who hope to find one (or more) of them on the top of the podium Friday at Columbia City.

Notes & Results:
-Quinn Buchan also won for the Braves, taking the 400 with the fastest time of any Adams County runner this season (1:06.66).
-Freshman Lilly Franz was right behind Buchan in second with a new PR.
-Keeley Carpenter won the 3200 with her best time of the year.

-Emily Barton cracked 19 seconds and won the 100 hurdles, finishing in 18.97.
-While Jazlyn Brown did not set any PRs, she did win the 300 hurdles, the high jump and the long jump for some major points for the Braves.

-Hailey Cole went over 40 feet for the first time in her young throwing career, beating out the extremely-talented Makenna Dommer for the shot put win. Her throw on Tuesday night would have won last year’s sectional by more than a foot.

-Freshman Liz Selzer was fourth with a new PR in the shot.
-There was no beating Dommer, however, in the discus as she met the state mark with a remarkable throw of 134′. That distance would have been good enough to finish in seventh place at last year’s state meet.
