Several area golfers took part in the Boys Regionals on Thursday. Many took part in the Regional that was held at The Players Club in Yorktown. The best result from the area came from Bellmont’s Owen Minnick. He had a share of the lead early, but some hiccups derailed him, as he had three straight bogeys on holes 9-11, and a double bogey on the tough 14th hole put him at a +5 77. Adams Central’s Keaton Bush and Avery Biberstine carded 96 and 98 respectively.
On the team side, Norwell placed 12th with a 349, led by Derek Smith’s 82, Cooper Sloan 85, Chase Hulvey 86, Phillip Gaier 96, and Bodie Zimmer 100. Bluffton finished 15th with a team score of 364, led by Connor Klopfenstein’s 82, Declan Greiser 90, Kade Abbott 92, Kyler Potter 100, and Anthony Hartman 116. Hamilton Southeastern won the team title with 297, led by the individual medalist Dane Starnes even par 72.
Meanwhile up at the Stonehenge Golf Course in Warsaw, Jake Dalman from Heritage took part as an individual, and carded an 88.
