The Huntington North Vikings came to Decatur ready to play Tuesday night and won four out of five varsity matches against the Bellmont Braves.
The junior varsity team for the Braves competed well, however, and took six of eight matches.
The Braves dropped the opening set in three of five matches, but Leila Jin battled back from her 6-3 loss to take the next two sets 6-1 and 6-2. Jin played well with the wind and took advantage of several double faults by HN’s ace, Kylee Burnau.
The Braves are back in action Wednesday against Columbia City in another NE8 match.
