It was a throwers’ paradise Saturday at Bluffton, as some of the top big guys across the state were invited to the Tony Feys Bluffton Throwers Showcase and they did not disappoint, with defending shot put state champ Luke Himes claiming both titles.
Himes won the meet with a throw that exceeded his state-winning distance from last June, going 65′ 9″ and looking like he may threaten the state record before his career is up.

Charlie Riddle came within inches of his PR from the Bulldog Relays earlier this year and claimed a respectable second-place finish behind Himes. His best throw met the state qualifying standard.

Gus Nussbaum had a strong throw for Adams Central in the discus, adding 10 feet to his career best.
