The South Adams Starfires led 21-0 after five minutes and 42-7 after 16 minutes to trigger a second-half running clock, evening their season record at 1-1.
For the Bellmont Braves there were positives despite the lopsided score. They scored three touchdowns for only the third time in the last 42 games.
Jason Lykins was taken from his position on the line and returned as a ball carrier, scoring a long, 56-yard touchdown at the end of the game. The junior had 104 yards on ten touches.
Wes Summersett scored two touchdowns in the opening three minutes and led the team in tackles (5) and tackles for loss (3). He finished with 114 yards receiving on four catches on four targets.
Zaden Baumer had 313 yards passing and five TDs in one half of play.
Cole Barger (below) also had an excellent game, catching seven passes from Charlie Faurote for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Austin Manley and Daniel Selking also had an impact for the Braves after coming back out for the team. Manley led the team with eight tackles, while Selking caught five passes.
