Bellmont dropped a close NE8 tennis match Wednesday against Columbia City, falling 3-2 to the Eagles.
The Braves got a win at No. 3 singles from Emma Fuelling and the new duo of Ella Ross and freshman Averie Coats resulted in a three-set victory for the home team.
The team faces a tough task Thursday when they travel to Leo to play a good Lions team. The Braves will also play away from home at Blackhawk Christian Friday before the final week of the regular season begins.
