Izzy Isch cracked a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning that cleared the pine trees in left field to draw Bellmont within a 4-3 deficit, but the Norwell Knights scored the final five runs unanswered to take the biggest regular season game on both teams’ calendars, 9-3 on Wednesday night on WZBD.
Kayla Watkins struck out seven for Norwell and earned the victory. The only earned run allowed came on Isch’s dinger. She also had a hit at the plate.
Adi Radecki held the Knights off as long as she could, striking out five, but the Knights pounded out ten hits for the win.

The Braves actually outhit their opponents, but the Knights got theirs when it counted, capitalizing on five errors around the infield for the home team.
Isch finished the night 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Oni Krueckeberg had a double and single, while Taylor Sutter and Carissa Mickley also had two hits apiece.
