Zack Frank’s convincing victory in the first set against Bishop Dwenger in the Adams Central tennis season opener Tuesday led a solid effort by the Jets in the early going, with the two doubles teams riding the wave in their opening sets, as well.
The team victory was not to be, however, as Dwenger stormed back to take the second and third sets at No. 2 doubles and steal the match 3-2.
Frank also dropped the second set, but recovered with an impressive performance in the third to take the win as No. 1 over Isaac Sarrazine.
Caden Doster and Braxton Gerber were winners at No. 1 doubles for the Jets, who will play Bishop Luers on Thursday.
