Coach Tami Henry’s varsity volleyball team captured the first victory of the season Tuesday at Churubusco, winning in straight sets, 25-12, 25-11, 25-13.
The victory comes just a couple of days after a marathon loss at home to Bellmont to kick off the season.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 0-2.
Freshman Kelsey Beaver led the Jets with five aces in her two sets of play on just twelve attempts.
Daisy Hindenlang and Slone Schortgen led the Jets with nine kills each. Jentrie Schaefer continued her hot start with seven kills.
The Jets’ blocks in the game all came from their freshman trio – Schaefer, Schortgen and Claire Foreman.
Emma Hirschy led Adams Central with 12 digs and Luci Noblitt tallied 17 assists.
The Jets will play at Eastbrook on Thursday night.
