South Adams and Heritage both had big wins on Thursday night, while Adams Central and Bellmont had the bats go silent in lopsided loss.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the five-inning perfect game thrown by Derek Weaver, who struck out 11 in a dominating performance.

We look at the highlights of a busy day on wet fields for all four of the teams in our focus coverage area below.
Heritage 12 Southern Wells 0
Coming off a big win over Luers on Wednesday, the pitching held up against the Raiders as Beau Stoppenhagen threw five no-hit innings, striking out nine.

Stoppenhagen also batted leadoff and scored twice. Lucas Taylor and Eli Rauner each had a pair of hits in the win.
South Adams 10 Southwood 0
It was short and sweet for Weaver in his start against the Knights. He faced the minimum over five innings, striking out eleven. Of the top six batters in the Southwood lineup, only one managed to put the ball in play, the rest struck out on both trips to the plate.

The Starfires broke the game open with six runs in the third, with Weaver singling home a run to make it 3-0 and later scoring on a hit by Haden Meyer.
Six different Starfires combined for their six hits as they took advantage of the Knights’ battery, stealing six bases and capitalizing on two hit batsmen and five walks.

Zac Devore took the loss for Southwood.
