Bella Ashley tossed a no-hitter and Aaliyah Faurote tripled and homered to lead Bellmont to a rainy, 11-0 win over Bishop Luers Tuesday night.
Ashley faced just 17 batters in her five innings of work, striking out six and walking just one. The other baserunners allowed came on two Bellmont errors, although one was later erased on the base paths.

Bellmont posted eight runs in the top of the first, batting around the order with most of the hits coming with two outs. Faurote’s inside-the-park homer made it 7-0, scoring Carissa Mickley and Finnley Godsey drove in Emily Bleke, who had picked up her second hit of the inning with a triple.

Faurote tripled in the third, but was stranded as the Braves failed to score. Bellmont did strike for three more runs in the fourth, with Oni Krueckeberg providing the big hit, a two-run single to push the game into the mercy-rule zone.

Bellmont will get back to NE8 action Wednesday when they host DeKalb.
