The most dramatic moment of the Adams Central softball season arrived Tuesday night against the New Haven Bulldogs at home in the bottom of the seventh inning. Still with just one win on the season and facing plenty of adversity, the Jets seemed to have let a golden opportunity to score a rare win slip away.
Four batters later, they celebrated.

A three-run rally gave the Jets a 13-12 win over the Bulldogs, with Andrea Isch providing the single to score Baylee Smith and handing the home team their first victory since April 24th, when they beat Southern Wells.

Two pitches prior to Isch’s hit, the Jets successfully pulled off a double steal with runners on the corners, putting Smith in scoring position and tying the game at 12-12 with Brinlee Rinkenberger coming home.
At the end of two innings, the Jets led 7-3, but New Haven scored five times in the third and took the lead. They then fell even further behind and trailed 12-7 before scoring three times in the fifth. Izzy Isch hit one of her three doubles for the key moment in that fifth-inning rally.

Addy Jordon worked four innings of relief and got the W, allowing four unearned runs.
The Jets will face a much different task when they travel to Homestead to take on a very talented Spartan team.
