Cam Rauner struck out nine of 17 batters faced, allowing just three hits over five shutout winnings to keep the Heritage Patriots perfect in the ACAC Thursday night, beating Southern Wells 13-0.
Rauner faced just two over the minimum, with Brady Boyle picking off a runner attempting to steal at third base in the fourth inning. He struck out the side in the fifth.

At the plate, it was also Rauner leading the way with a 2-for-3 night, raising his season average to .444 in 2025. He had the team’s only extra-base hit, a double, along with a single and a stolen base.
Also collecting two hits against the Raiders were Lucas Taylor, Max Mirelez and Mason Abbott.

Heritage will host Concordia Lutheran on Friday as the season gets into its busiest portion.
The Patriots will play against Bellmont next Wednesday at Parkview Field. That game can be heard live on WZBD, 92.7 FM.
