The battery of senior Danica Fuller and freshman Sydney Martin teamed up to batter Southern Wells Thursday night as the Heritage Patriots moved to 2-0 in the ACAC with a 13-2 victory.
Fuller tripled and added two more singles for a 3-for-5 night, knocking in three herself, while Martin was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scoring all four times.
As a battery, Fuller allowed two runs across six innings, striking out ten. She allowed just three hits.
Abriyah James was 3-for-5, keeping her staggering battering average this season at an even .600.
Heritage will face a gauntlet of tough opponents early next week with games at Eastside and Woodlan. They’ll host Woodlan in between those trips on Tuesday.
