Woodlan scored 32 runs in five innings Tuesday at Adams Central en route to a 32-7 victory over the Flying Jets in ACAC play.
Ignoring the traditional and widely-practiced mercy out, the Warriors pushed across 17 runs to build a 20-1 lead in the second inning before protests by the Adams Central side led the visitors to make an out on the basepaths to end the inning.
Woodlan also ended the fourth inning after scoring seven runs by leaving base early for an intentional out.
Melina Peralez had a fine night at the plate despite the drubbing. She finished 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Jets used four different pitchers in the contest and were unable to stave off the powerful Woodlan offense.
Adams Central’s five errors did not help the cause as Woodlan put the ball in play, striking out just four times.
The Jets will host Parkway Wednesday night in Monroe.
