Nine wins in 17 days has the Heritage Patriots up to #6 in the state in 3A in the volleyball coaches association computer ratings after coach Shelly Schwartz’s team dominated Wayne for a 3-0 win, 25-18, 25-21, 25-10.

Mallory Ehrman led the Patriots with eleven kills. As the team has bounced back back from those back-to-back losses in the end of August, they’ve now climbed the ladder and stand as the highest-ranked team in the northern half of the state in 3A. They’ll face a tough run of matches over a week stretch with three ACAC matches, including a showdown for the conference lead against South Adams.

Maya Ehrman was named as the player of the game by coach Schwartz after a six-kill night. She also led the team with twelve digs.

“The Ehrman sisters had a fantastic game,” said Schwartz afterwards. “The serving from Maya added seven aces.”

Mallory Ehrman had eleven digs to go along with her team-high kill total.

Schwartz also credited her setters with great play throughout the night.
