The National Weather Service Northern Indiana (NWS) has confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in Adams County last Wednesday.
There were six touchdowns in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, the NWS said after crews surveyed the areas where damage occurred.

The two touchdowns of EAF-1 tornadoes in Adams County apparently traveled on parallel paths, touching down at 10:47 and 10:48 p.m., according to the weather service.
Each touchdown was said to have stayed on the ground for about two minutes each, then dissipated.
The tornadoes had maximum speeds of 105 and 95 miles an hour and were 75 and 100 yards wide.
The initial touchdown, the weather service said, was south of CR 300S and east of south Salem Road, in the Monroe area, and traveled some 2.3 miles, the NWS said.
The second touchdown began south of CR 400S and east of CR 500E, covering approximately 1.5 miles.
Both continued northeast and dissipated before entering Mercer County, Ohio.
No injuries were reported, but several barns and mobile homes were damaged or destroyed, according to weather bureau officials. The report also said that the roof was ripped off a mobile home and a grain silo was thrown nearly half a mile.
