The South Adams Starfires built a 3-0 lead against Eastbrook Thursday on the road, but allowed 14 runs in the final four innings, including nine in the fourth, to fall 14-6 to the Panthers.
An RBI single off the hot bat of Derek Weaver in the second and another hit by Weaver in the third, which led to two runs, put the Stars in good position, but Weaver struggled with his control and did not make it out of the third inning, issuing six walks while giving up two runs.
Kane Sturwold got the last two outs of the third, but Eastbrook scored nine times in the fourth, first against Sturwold, then off Jax Wanner and by the end of the inning, off Manny Juarez.
Derek McKean had two hits and threw a scoreless sixth inning for the Starfires, who dropped to 10-11 with the loss.
South Adams will play at Northeastern Saturday.
