Dwenger recorded just one out in Thursday’s game against the Bellmont Braves before Taylor Bauer crushed a home run to left field to put the visitors up 4-0. Three innings later, Makenzie Mankey hit one out to right field to lead off the fourth and the Braves went on to win 11-4 in Fort Wayne
Bauer finished the night a perfect 3 for 3 with a walk to lead the Braves’ attack. She was plunked in her third trip to the plate.
Mankey knocked in four runs between her solo homer and another hit.
Emily Bleke stole two bases after reaching base three times in the game.
MK Scheumann knocked in a run and pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits in seven innings and striking out three.
The Braves host Homestead Friday night in a game that will be broadcast on WZBD, 92.7 FM.
