Lilli Jackson threw a career-high 15 strikeouts against a good Concordia Lutheran team Wednesday night, beating the SAC’s second-best team by a score of 9-0 while only allowing four hits.
All four Cadet hits were in separate innings and the home team never looked threatening against Jackson. who walked just one.
At the plate, Jenna Cook was a perfect 4 for 4 with four singles. All nine Jet runs were charged to Maizy O’Hara, who did not make it out of the fifth inning.
Jackson also had a hit in the game and drew a walk.
Brooke Thomas and Athena Schwartz each had two hits for the Jets in the win.
Adams Central will play at Carroll (FW) Friday before hosting Southwood for a doubleheader Saturday. Those two contests will serve as a warm-up for Tuesday’s epic showdown with South Adams in the sectional in Berne.
