After winning a semi-state title in October, the Bellmont Braves volleyball program knew that it would be spending both the 2024 and the 2025 season up with the big boys in 2024. Now they know who will stand in their way, trying to prevent the long sectional streak from continuing.
The IHSAA announced Tuesday that 4A Sectional 6 will contain the following schools:
-Bellmont
-South Side
-Wayne
-Homestead
-Huntington North
The new sectional field could mean a change in schedule for coach Krull, who will likely want to make sure he sees South Side and Wayne during the regular season. Huntington North and Homestead are already on the Bellmont slate.
Some initial information about these teams:
Last Sectional Title for each school: South Side (1998), Wayne (1994), Homestead (2023), Huntington North (2012)
Note: Homestead has won sectional titles in 4A in the last five seasons.
Regional Titles for other schools: Huntington North 1972, Wayne 1974, 1975, 1986
