There were plenty of cancellations with the strong winds and soggy fields Friday night, but the Adams Central Jets and New Haven Bulldogs got both games of a doubleheader played and the Flying Jets made it five in a row with a convincing road sweep, winning 11-0 and 7-6.
Game One
Cade Van De Weg was nearly perfect against the Bulldogs, going the distance and striking out 13 in his six innings. He allowed just a leadoff single in the second and a two-out walk in the fifth as his only baserunners.
At the plate, Van De Weg contributed two walks and he knocked in a run.
Ryan Tester had an RBI triple and scored in the sixth as the Jets posted six runs to shorten the game to just six innings after Van De Weg shut down the Dogs in the bottom half of the inning.

Game Two
New Haven’s bats woke up early in the second contest, but the Jets posted a five spot in the top of the third and hung on for the 7-6 win.
Ethan Funk was key to the victory with 3.2 innings of relief and was awarded the victory, striking out four and allowing just one run in relief of Ryan Tester.
Keagan Combs had three hits and was perfect at the plate with a walk and a double.
Dakota Perry knocked in two with a triple.
