2024 is a major election year, with races from President down to local county officials. For County Clerks, there are no more busier times. In Adams County, officials are also trying to phase out old equipment and programs that are no longer used in the county’s voting system.
Adams County Clerk Shelly Brite told the Adams County Commissioners Tuesday that her office is trying to eliminate old equipment. She says she’s offering her old and outdated equipment to other Indiana counties that are still using the old systems. She told WZBD’s Ed Thurman that other counties are grateful for the offer and she’s happy to sell it at a bargain price, or even give it away in some cases…
Brite says the Adams County Election Board is making good progress in preparing for the May primary and the November general election. The list of this year’s voting centers in Adams County will be released soon to let voters know where they will be able to cast their ballots.
