The Heritage Patriots made their way down to Delta for Week 2 Friday night, and it was a big night defensively for the Patriots, as their third interception of Eagle quarterback Deacon Blevins would lead to the winning score of the night late in the fourth quarter to win 7-6.
It was a case of bend but don’t break mentality for the Patriot defense, as they were outgained in total offense 286-193, and stopped the Eagels on three of their four trips into the red zone, including getting all the way down to the 1-yard line, but couldn’t punch it in.
