We had a great weekend of high school volleyball with most of the area teams involved in multi-team events after an exciting week of play on weeknights.
We sum it all up for you here and remind you that you can listen to more volleyball on WZBD, 92.7 FM on Tuesday night when Heritage comes to Bellmont and Thursday when Bishop Luers goes to Adams Central.
AT WAPAHANI
Adams Central went 4-0 to win the tournament.

AT YORKTOWN
The Bellmont Braves were, as we wrote on Thursday after the South Adams loss, extremely short on confidence heading into Saturday at Yorktown and the combination of top-notch big-school competition led the team to an 0-4 day.
Coach Krull’s team did show fight, though, with the most lopsided loss coming in the opener against Westfield. The Braves grew more and more competitive as the day went on, but they struggled to close out sets, winning just the one against Crown Point.
Katie Reinhart led the Braves with kills on the day with 18. Ashlyn Baumann and Taylor Sutter both had 17 in the four matches.
Sutter led the team in digs with 28.
They’ll somehow have to recover on one day’s practice Monday and be ready for a Heritage team that will be hungry to break their own streak against the Braves. Fans can hear that one on WZBD, 92.7 FM.
