Three different players tallied braces for the Homestead Spartans in a 6-0 victory over the Bellmont Braves Wednesday night in Decatur.
Big Ten-bound Channing Xayarath scored two in the first half and the other goals came from Audrey Johnson and Braylee Morris.

The Spartans took a total of 36 shots in the game, with Bellmont keeper Mary Bleke making countless saves.

Homestead keeper Emma Kanalas made just one save to keep a clean sheet.

The Spartans are ranked #2 in the state in 3A.

Now 0-2 on the season after facing the two best teams in Fort Wayne, the Braves will turn their attention to the annual trip to South Bend to take part in the South Bend St. Joe Invite. They’ll face the host Huskies Friday night and then play South Bend Adams on Saturday afternoon.
St. Joe will take on Carroll (FW) Saturday.
