The Bellmont Braves may have finally run out of good luck Thursday night at Leo, but the No. 1 doubles team of Averie Coats and Ella Ross continued their win streak into double digits with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win. It was the only point won by the Braves in their first NE8 loss in over a year.

Leo’s singles players dominated the night, taking all but three games across the six sets.
A lineup switch brought Sammy Knipstein into the lineup to play with Sofia Steury and the pair almost pulled off a win in their debut, taking it all the way to a third set.

The Braves are right back in action Friday against Huntington North for a match that was rained out earlier in the week.

The loss broke a nice streak for the Braves, who had already beaten Bluffton and Adams Central this week.
