Cameron Summers played a one-over 37 to lead the Bellmont Braves to a win in the annual county tri-meet Thursday at Wabash Valley.
Bellmont beat South Adams by 12 and Adams Central by 21 strokes.
Teeing off on the front nine, Summers carded eight pars, with his only bogey coming on the tough par-four sixth hole. Interestingly, the Braves may have secured the win on the night with their performance on that sixth hole. The five varsity players were a combined +2 on the night on the sixth, while Adams Central went +6 and South Adams went +5.

The Braves played clean golf throughout the night, avoiding the big numbers hole after hole. They only recorded two holes of triple bogey or worse.
Adams Central’s Drew Johnson was just a stroke behind Summers with a 38. He was joined by two more Bellmont Braves, No. 1 Chase Baker and No. 2 Jacob Binegar, at that same mark.
Jacob Liechty had a pair of birdies in his round to lead the Starfires with a 41.
