INDIANAPOLIS – South Adams’ Tristin Ehr led the local contingent at the Indoor State meet Saturday with a monster jump for a third-place finish in the small-school division.
With the schools in Indiana split into a big-school half and a small-school half, Ehr had his chance to shine. His best jump of 6-05 was easily a personal best and it also would have been good enough to win the local sectional in each of the last two seasons.
Churubusco’s Weston Ott had one of the premier marks of the day, smashing the meet record with a shot toss of 67-07.25. Last year’s state runner-up was only four inches away from the Indiana state outdoor record.
Heritage’s talented long jumper, Sawyer Thiele, also competed, representing the ACAC well.
