Amid rumors that higher-than-hoped-for costs may force dropping plans to revamp the Adams County Service Complex, the county commissioners will unveil key information at their regular meeting Tuesday.
“Our architects will be coming to our regular meeting Tuesday and we will take a look at pricing; it will be an open meeting,” Commissioner Stan Stoppenhagen told WZBD.com on Monday.
“We’ll see what kind of decision we need to make; we’ll discuss what to do next.”

The open meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in room 100 of the Service Complex. It will be carried live on YouTube.
The commissioners met last week with the architectural firm they contracted to take a look at possibly moving several county departments under the same roof.
One key desire is to bring much-needed security improvements to the superior court which is now located in the one-time library building north of the present library, on Third St.
The plans being considered by the commissioner would force the loss of the gymnasium in the Service Complex – an idea that has stirred opposition.
The plans call for moving superior court, Community Corrections (now situated a short distance north of Decatur) the probation department and the prosecutor’s office (both in the courthouse at this time) into the Service Complex.
