One member of Decatur’s half of the Decatur-Adams County Parks and Recreation Department has a new term while one seat needs to be filled.
Mayor Dan Rickord recently announced that he has appointed Alex Ainsworth to a new four-year term on the six-member board.
It is Ainsworth’s second term.
Meanwhile, the mayor will fill an opening on the city board created by the recent passing of long-time member Dick Stimpson.
Other members are Larry Isch, president for over 50 years, Kelly Ehinger, Kim McCord, and Joan Siefring.
The six members of the county parks department are: Randy Lehman, Scott Bonifas, Mark Ripley, Mellisa Fey, Nathan Bowers, and Brad Kohlhagen.
Both boards currently meet the second Monday of each month at Riverside Center, the county board at 6 p.m. and the city board at 7 p.m.
