The Heritage Patriots were hoping for a bounce back win after losing their fourth win in a row at North Side earlier this week, but they tossed out a lead in the second half and lost to East Allen rival New Haven Friday night, 65-54.
The win pushed New Haven’s season record to 16-5 and solidifies the Bulldogs as the favorite heading into Sunday night’s draw by the IHSAA for the 3A Sectional #22 at Bellmont in two weeks.
The Patriots had the lead heading into the fourth quarter, but could not break their losing streak.
“It’s as simple as this – we just started turning the ball over,” noted head coach Kyle Sovine on his team’s loss to New Haven.

Lantae Cassel returned to the team and gave the Patriots a lift, but his 17 points were not enough.
Kingston Galentine’s 18 points led the team in scoring.

Taurean Brown had 10 points in the loss.
The Patriots will close out the home and regular season with a game against DeKalb. That game will be heard on WZBD, 92.7 FM.
