“Unfortunately, it came down to a play at the end where we fouled and they made a free throw. We’ll learn from it and be better for Saturday.”
That’s how Brett Freeman summed up his team’s heartbreaking loss at Muncie Burris Thursday.

The final free throw nullified a South Adams comeback in the fourth quarter. They trailed Burris 21-18 at half and 29-26 after three.
Senior center Sydney Jackson led all scorers with 19 for the home team.
The Starfires were led by Laney Trausch and Ana Lehman, who both finished with 15.
“We struggled out of the gates tonight,” said Freeman. “We were making too many mistakes on both ends. Burris did a great job answering when they needed to.”
