The South Adams Starfires got their cross country season off to a good start at the Taylor Opener Saturday, finishing five team spots ahead of rival Adams Central, who showed good progress by cutting all five varsity times from a week ago.
Crestview of Ohio won the event, with South Adams taking 11th place. The Bluffton Tigers were seventh.
Notes & Times:
-Ethan Crockett continued to lead the way for the Jets, this time with a top-15 finish. Crockett cut 31 seconds from last week’s time.
-Tyler Schwartz (AC) made a huge gain in his time, trimming 1:14 from his first 5K of the year.
