The Adams Central golf team hit the road Tuesday evening for a tri-meet at the scenic and challenging Chestnut Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, where they squared off against host Canterbury and Churubusco.
Facing wet and windy conditions and tight greens on the back nine, the Jets carded a team total of 173, finishing second behind a strong Canterbury squad that posted a 156. Churubusco rounded out the standings with a 235.

Leading the way for Adams Central was junior standout Drew Johnson, who fired a solid 38, continuing his season-long stretch of top finishes.

Both Mavrick Becher and Jaret Smith chipped in solid rounds of 43, while Brody Isch added a 49. Senior Trace Maller rounded out the varsity five with a 53.

“Despite the second-place finish,” said head coach Nick Smith, “the meet gave us valuable experience on a more technical course as the boys prepare for their final stretch of regular season competition and the upcoming conference tournament.”
Adams Central will look to bounce back in their next outing, continuing to build momentum toward postseason play.
