Three Starfire pitchers combined to hold Southern Wells to just one hit Thursday night in a short, 14-0 win for South Adams in five innings in Wells County.
Addie Baker allowed a single to Kyah Thomas to lead off the second inning, but struck out the final two batters of her second inning of work before handing the ball over to Shelby Weigel.
Weigel threw two perfect innings outside of one hit batter and struck out four.

Reece Beitler threw a quick and perfect fifth inning to round out the night with the mercy rule.
Baker was a perfect 3 for 3 on the night with all three hits going for doubles.
Kenzie Neuenschwander homered in the third inning to make the score 13-0. She had singled in the first as part of a 3-for-4 night.
Beitler also had a three-run triple for the Starfires, who are now 13-2 ahead of Friday’s game against Fort Recovery, which can be heard on 92.7 FM.
