The Heritage Patriots were no match for a very good FW Northrop team Thursday night, with the Bruins pushing their season record ahead of next week’s sectional to 14-4 with a win in straight sets, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.
Zachary Mosher led the bruins with eleven kills.
Zeke Litchfield once again led the Patriots with 10 kills.
Eli Tigulis and Graham Simmons had two aces apiece. Simmons also had two blocks.
The Patriots’ season record now matches that of the Bruins at 14-4.

The team will now prepare for next week’s sectional, which is set to be held at South Side and under the auspices of the IHSAA for the first official time.

Of the four teams that have beaten Heritage this year, three are in the northern area sectional, away from the Patriots.
The team is on the opposite half of the bracket from Homestead, the team that knocked them out of last year’s tournament.

The Patriots’ journey to an inaugural sectional title begins Thursday at South Side at 5:30 p.m. They’ll take on the winner of New Haven and South Side, who will square off in the opening round Tuesday.
