Heritage did just well enough in the field events to hold off Bluffton in an ACAC tri Tuesday night.
Notes & Times:
-Nasir Martin ran a season best for Heritage and took second behind teammate Lucas Weber in the 100.
-Craig Landis of South Adams was fourth in the 200 with a season best.
-Gavin Litwiller was third in the 400 with a season best for South Adams.
-Zane VanOsdale and Mo Esarhaek both had season bests for Heritage in the 400, as well.
-Gavin Juricak (Heritage) ran a season best and took second in the 3200.
-Heritage turned in a top performance in the 4×100, setting a new season best and winning in 44.42.
-Alex Mantle went 5-06 for the first time this year for the Patriots and finished in fourth in the high jump.
-Cade Foster was third in the pole vault for Heritage, clearing nine feet for the first time this year.
-South Adams’ Maddox Miller went 8-06 for the first time in the vault and was fourth.
-Charlie Riddle set a new PR in the discus, out-throwing last year’s sectional-winning distance by New Haven’s John Bussard, to win with a distance of 154-03. He will have been disappointed when he arrived home and learned of Bussard’s absurd throw at Bellmont Tuesday night of over 167 feet. The two will square off at sectional in an exciting battle of state podium hopefuls.
