Coming off their very first win in school history, the Bellmont Braves faced a much more potent offense Monday in the Snider Panthers and dropped their match in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.
Cam Summers returned to the team after playing for the golf team and missing Saturday’s win, leading the team with six kills.

Gavin Krull had two blocks to lead the Braves at the net.
Mason Mankey led the team in aces with three.

“They were very good,” admitted coach Craig Krull. “That’s probably the best all-around team we’ve seen all season. We competed well, but just didn’t have enough volleyball knowledge to make adjustments.”

Now 1-8, Krull knows his team is improving.
“It’s good to play good competition,” said Krull, who is still dealing with a fluid roster from night to night with all the two-sport athletes on the squad.
Bellmont will travel to East Noble Thursday for their next match.
