Woodlan had just enough to beat Heritage for the second time in a week Wednesday as the two girls’ squads met in Woodburn, with the host Warriors winning by 11 points.
Notes & Times:
-Ava Smith won the 800 for Heritage with a new personal best time of 2:46.20.
-Emily High was also at her best, finishing second behind Smith.
-Smith also made a big cut to her career best in the mile, taking second behind Woodlan’s Katy Niles.
-McKinsey Amstein continued to impress with a new season best to win the 100 hurdles. She also set a personal best in the 300 hurdles.
-The Patriots’ 4×100 relay team ran a season best to hold off Woodlan.
-Ava Johnson set a new personal best in the high jump at 4-06 and finished third.
-Olivia Lybarger bettered her season best from the East Allen meet Saturday and finished second with a distance of 14-10.
-Alexa Walter set a new personal best and won the shot put for Heritage.
