South Adams won easily against Canterbury Wednesday night in the Stardome, 25-6, 25-14, 25-18, with a big night by Avery Brown, who lead the team with 12 kills.
Reagan Beitler fired off seven aces against the Cavaliers and led the team with 15 assists.
The team will enjoy a break before picking back up the ACAC schedule Tuesday at Jay County.
Meanwhile, at Carroll, two top-20 teams met as the Chargers hosted Bellmont. The home team outplayed Bellmont throughout and swept the JV, as well.
The two teams could meet again in a 4A regional if they’re both successful at their respective sectionals.
Bellmont will look to regroup Thursday against New Haven before facing two more difficult opponents in Angola and NorthWood Saturday. Both matches Saturday will be broadcast on WZBD, 92.7 FM.
