Twa Rit’s goal in the first half against Blackhawk Christian did not stand up Monday night as the Braves scored twice to defeat the Patriots in the August heat in non-conference varsity play.
Rit’s goal in the first 40 minutes came as a result of one of just two shots on goal in the game for the Patriots, who were stifled by the Blackhawk defense the rest of the night.
Liam Warren made five saves in goal for the Patriots, who dropped their first match of the season. The team is set for another home game Wednesday night against Garrett.
ACAC play for the Patriots will begin on September 9th when the team travels to Jay County.
