The local Decatur Main Street organization will hold a special meeting Thursday morning that is open to the public.
Local businessman Max Miller, president of the volunteer organization, told city council at its meeting Tuesday night that a special invitation is extended to those who wish to learn more about the group.

“If you are a business owner (especially in the downtown area), a downtown building owner, a Decatur Main Street supporter, a volunteer, a local history enthusiast …” this meeting will be of particular interest, it was noted in a handout Miller passed to council members.
Garrett Conway, the east-central liaison for OCRA’s Indiana Main Street, will give a presentation at the meeting. OCRA stands for the Office of Community & Rural Affairs.

“He will be talking and taking questions on the Indiana Main Street Four Points Approach, the requirements, funding and benefits of being an Indiana Main Street organization,”: the handout said.
Decatur Main Street’s board meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the HIVE downtown, and Conway’s presentation will follow.
A recent Decatur Main Street project concerned the directional signs which recently went up in the downtown area.
