Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School north of Decatur is holding its first Wyneken Warriors Volleyball Camp this week and got off to a prestigious start with an appearance by all-time volleyball standout Lloy Ball.
Wyneken said in a Facebook post, “…we had the privilege of hearing from four-time U.S. Olympian, gold medal winner, and former captain of the United State Olympic Volleyball team Lloy Ball!”
“What an honor it was for our girls to hear all about finding a dream … working hard … and preserving in that goal.”
Ball grew up in the Woodburn area attended Woodlan High School.
