Blackhawk took the singles matches and Bellmont took the doubles matches in Friday’s non-conference match between two teams of Braves, as it was the Blackhawk Christian Braves who took a 3-2 win against visiting Bellmont.
With just one more match to go in the regular season for Bellmont, the Braves needed a win in the singles matches to complement the good work done by Isabelle Ortiz & Marisol Jackson, along with Ella Ross and Lilyana Suarez. Lillian Jin won the second set of her match 6-0, but dropped the third set at No. 2 singles, leaving the Braves hoping for a positive ending to the regular season Saturday morning against DeKalb with the sectional draw looming Monday night.
