The Adams Central tennis program has consistently played some of the top teams in the area over the years and that trend continued Tuesday as the team drove north to take on the Carroll Chargers. While the Jets lost 4-1, they did continue their hot streak at No. 2 doubles, capturing a win in straight sets.
Anna Leyse and Alexa Brotherton won Saturday’s eight-team tournament and they picked up the lone win for the Jets Tuesday against the Chargers.
“You can tell this is their second year together,” noted coach Jessica Disinger after the match. “They are great with communicating with each other and you can see that they just understand how doubles should be played.”
The Jets will turn their attention back to sectional opponents Wednesday when they travel to Bluffton for an ACAC match.
