In an early-season meeting between two of the top local tennis programs, Norwell edged Adams Central for a 3-2 victory.
The most entertaining match of the night was rightly at No. 1 singles, where Hillary Tobias battled back from a loss in the opening set to beat Addy Heyerly.
Norwell won the other two singles matches in straight sets.
Anna Leyse and Alexa Brotherton continued their strong start to the season with a win at No. 2 doubles in straight sets.
The Jets will face an even tougher test when they travel to Carroll Tuesday night. Coach Jessica Disinger’s team will then travel to Bluffton for another away match in Wells County Wednesday.
Norwell swept all nine junior varsity matches.
