Libby Cain had one of the best games of her career with a 4 for 4 night Tuesday against Snider that resulted in five runs knocked in for an 8-1 victory for the Patriots.
Cain benefited from a perfect night at the plate by leadoff hitter Danica Fuller, who tallied three hits and a walk to reach base and subsequently score on all four trips to the plate. All four hits for Cain were singles.
Fuller pitched one inning and struck out two, handing the rest of the game over to Lucy Buuck, who allowed just one run in her six innings of work while striking out seven.
It was the first win for the team after they returned from Spring Break and was the second win in a row.
