Kim Brandt recently filed to run for the esteemed position of District 1 Adams County Commissioner. A current Adams County resident and HIVE Art Gallery Director deeply rooted in the community, Kim Brandt brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to effecting positive change for Adams County.
A proud graduate of Bellmont High School, Kim continued her education at Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After tying the knot with her high school sweetheart Cary Brandt in 1980, Kim and Cary ventured into various endeavors, from Cary family farming in Willshire Ohio and working for Moser Motors in Berne, to Kim’s dedicated service as the 9-1-1 Coordinator for Van Wert County for over two decades.
Kim’s passion for public service led her to contribute significantly to the Parkway District and the Vantage Career Center, where she served on the school boards for a commendable 15 years. During her tenure, Kim played a pivotal role in overseeing crucial building projects and addressing the financial challenges faced by the education system.
Kim’s decision to run for Adams County Commissioner stems from her unwavering dedication to improving the county’s infrastructure, particularly its roads. Drawing from her experiences in Ohio, she advocates for essential upgrades, such as center line and edge line markings and improved signage, to ensure safer roadways for all residents.
With a proven track record of leadership, integrity, and collaboration, Kim Brandt pledges to prioritize open communication, transparency, and accountability in government. She envisions a county where every voice is heard, every concern is addressed, and every resident thrives.
