Ted L. Reinhart, 94, of Decatur, IN, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 28, 2024, at his son’s residence in rural Decatur. He was born in Decatur, IN, on June 4, 1929, the son of the late Samuel and Lisetta (Hannie) Reinhart. On December 16, 1950, he married Mardella “Mardy” Schueler and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2007.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Preble. Ted worked in maintenance for 20 years at the Y.M.C.A. in Fort Wayne. He worked as a carpenter for Roy L. McNett building homes and he also was a farmer.
Ted is survived by a daughter, Karen (Richard) Fisher; 2 sons, Thomas (Beth) Reinhart and Gerald (Deborah) Reinhart all of Decatur; a brother, Max Reinhart of New Haven; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Preble, with Pastor Andrew Yeager officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery – Preble at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Preble.
